Anne Elisabeth Stengle Painting by Lake

  1. Which photos can I turn into paintings?

Anne Elisabeth can paint almost anything, as long as the details of your photo can be clearly seen. We do recommend that you pay attention to the following guidelines:

    1. Make sure to send photos that make the photographed person look good. If you don’t like the way you look in the photo then please choose another photo. Don’t expect Anne Elisabeth to make the person look much better than he or she looks like in the photo.

    2. Try to send photos with the highest resolution you can. We generally suggest anywhere from 200KB to 500KB. For anything less than 100 KB size, the resolution might be too low, and we may have difficulties with painting all the details.

    3. Please be aware of the background in your photo. For example, you might have a beautiful photo of your grandchild, but in the background there are many useless items that will clutter the painting. In that case, you can tell us to use artistic license to use a flat background of any color you choose. Its easy – just mention it in your e-mail when you upload the photo.

  2. How do I send my photograph/s?

Sending your photograph is easy – just attach your picture file to your e-mail, and forward it to the e-mail address noted on our order page. Please note that at this time we are only accepting digital photographs.

  3. I can’t decide which photo to send. Can you give me some suggestions?
For some samples of our previous works, check out our portrait gallery. Our most popular requests are paintings of:

    • The wedding couple
    • Friends
    • Family
    • Children
    • Travel photos
    • Beautiful scenery
    • Buildings and cars

Put it this way – If you can take a photo of it, we can paint it…

  4. How much does it cost?

Our goal has been to make custom-made oil paintings affordable to everyone. My work is 100% hand-painted, which means that the finished product is simply amazing…

  5. Do I receive confirmation of my order?

Once you have placed your order, we will forward you an electronic receipt via e-mail which will breakdown all charges and give you the total amount of your bill. If you do not receive verification, it may be your order was either not processed or that you are unable to receive emails from us (an occasional issue). Please let us know if this is the case so we can send via alternative email accounts.

  6. Do I get to preview my artwork before receiving it?

Yes. Once your painting is ready, we will contact you for you to review it online. Most of our customers are happy with their first preview. But if you feel that any modifications should be made, we receive your feedback, make the requested modifications and send it back to you for confirmation. Only then it is sent to you.

  7. How long does it take to receive my painting?

From time of ordering, the time it takes to receive your oil painting is approximately 15-20 business days. It takes an average of 8 business days from your order until you receive a preview email. Once you confirm that you’re happy with the painting, we ship it immediately. The shipment takes about another 7 business days. If you want your photo to be amended, it will take another 3-5 business days. This time doesn’t take into consideration the time we wait for the customer to approve the artwork.

  8. What format should my photo be?

Upload your photo in .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, or .tiff. The better the image is, the better will the artist be able to create your painting. So as far as we’re concerned, the larger the file the better!

  9. Can you combine images from more than one photograph into a single painting?

Yes, we can. You can send several photographs and have people from them placed together into a single painting. Simply give us detailed instructions when placing your order.

You can upload up to 3 different photos in 1 order (using reference photo 1 and 2), and in the comments box, tell us how you want us to combine these photos into one painting.

  10. I have a special request for the artist doing my painting. How do I do that?

Don’t worry, we’ve thought about that! When you place your order, after you’ve uploaded your photo/s, there will be a special instructions text box where you can explain your special request.

  11. What style can you paint my photo in?

Anne Elisabeth is versatile in many styles; acrylics, oils, watercolors, pencils, pen & ink, ect.

Our most popular request is painting directly from the photo. Others request the painting in black and white. We have had occasions where people request the painting in “Van Gogh” style, which is outside of Anne’s expertise. But, if you have a request like this, enter it in your e-mail inquiry. It would also be helpful if you uploaded some examples of the style you would like. We aim to please.

  12. How will my artwork be packed for shipment?

The paintings will be shipped by rolling them in a protective cardboard tube. At this stage we do not frame the paintings. Firstly, framing is a very personal choice. Secondly, we want to minimize all possibility of damage.

  13. What methods of payment do you accept?

We use PayPal. PayPal allows you to pay with any credit card you can think of.

  14. I’m nervous about online shopping. Am I protected from any type of fraud?

Shopping here is 100% safe. PayPal has world-class security and anti fraud systems. None of your credit-card details are given to us. PayPal takes care of the entire process.
